On Flowering, by Jiddu Krishnamurti

Jiddu Krishnamurti. On Flowering. Introduction by Dr. Radhika Herzberger. KFA Bulletin #83. Ojai, CA: The Krishnamurti Foundation of America, 2009.

This is a lovely collection of excepts from Krishnamurti’s talks each having to do, directly or indirectly, with the theme of flowering. Allow everything in you to blossom, to show what it actually is. Then it becomes something totally different. As with all of Krishnamurti’s published works, this one too, even if read in one sitting, needs to be read slowly and reflectively. Otherwise, don’t bother. Its simplicity will fool you. Here is a rare person who truly understands the vital distinction between soul and spirit (though not in those terms). For this reason alone he is worth reading, and this little book does not disappoint.
